Employment
Situation For Pilots |

Current
Situation: |
New entrants will be on a new separate pay scale during covid was created. New entrants (post covid) will be on ~9% less basic pay. New short haul command scale capping captains at much lower salary.
Negotiations between union and company have been ongoing for over a year and have broken down. Junior pilots leaving soon after they join due to cost of living in Ireland and lack of respect from company. Senior French and German pilots seeking opportunities elsewhere. |

Outlook: |
Company in need of new entrants due to exodus of junior pilots. 5/3 roster and cost of living in Ireland make the job unattractive. Pilots very demotivated. Irish labour laws hinder union from using industrial action. |
