24 VAC days a year. Company's preference is to add 2 VAC days to your monthly days off to make it 14 but pilot may choose not to do so. Any unused VAC day can be sold back to the company at the end of the fiscal year.

Pilot gets one confirmed Y-class round-trip ticket to his nominated commuting destination every month even if it's not covered by ANA flights. Lately the company has introduced the option to take C-class tickets on ANA flights but those tickets are not full fare, instead they are staff tickets with high priority. In this case, if your domicile is not covered by ANA, you will get a seperate Y-class connection ticket. Seperate means you have to pick up and check in your baggage again when connecting. Additionally there is access to myID Travel and pilots can choose every month to take $2000 if they want to take care of the commuting by themselfs.
In April 2022 the company started recalling those pilots who were laid off during COVID. However the majority of former pilots chose not to come back because the company changed the contract and the conditions are worse than before, especially for commuting and taking days off. Towards the end of 2023 they will reach the bottom of the senority list so rumors are that they will start advertising for new pilots in the next few months. If you don't have a Japanese ATPL, the training takes about 8-9 months from orientation day to line check with 80% basic pay and ¥4800 per diems per day but accommodation provided. The company also provides hotel accommodation during line operation now but you have to check out of the hotel for every flight. Additionally you can expect frequent changes between HND and NRT airport hotels which means you will hardly ever stay in the same hotel room for more than a couple of nights. Pilots are allowed to rent their own apartment but so far there is no allowance. Be informed that the general attitude towards foreign pilots seems to have changed. Morale among the pilots is low because contract improvements are coming slower than in other places of the world and pilots don't feel the same level of respect compared to before COVID.

Outlook:
Air Japan will be rebranded and operate own flights from spring 2024, additionally AJX will continue to operate flights for ANA and many ANA pilots are retiring in the next years so the demand for new pilots will be high.
