There is no pension for the expat pilots (local pilots have another contract with much less salary). The salary for expats is as it goes, you are a contractor, not an employee. Tax is payed in KZ and you can get documents regarding this for your home country if needed.

Employment Situation For Pilots

  Current Situation:  
Hiring captains and few F/O's possibly, many pilots leaving due very low salary, blame und punish culture and heavy winter in Astana (no chance to have Almaty base in the future), company changed to low cost (food), nearly no upgrade of expats so captains fly max hours, many totally overloaded and tired 21/Aug/18

Bases For Pilots

At the moment only ASTANA for all fleets. Even Boing flights are all transferred from ALA to ASTANA and the future main expansion will be only in Astana as well according the governmental request despite Almaty would probably have much more to offer as a touristic stop-over. In the winter Astana is a very cold and windy city with up to -40 degree. But has some interesting buildings and not so much pollution than ALA. Long waiting list for ALA base.   27/Sep/17
