Middle East Airlines Jobs Situation For Pilots	last update

Current Situation:
Recruited 21 cadet pilots in 2005, and is in the process of selecting around 50 more cadets in 2006 to enter their pilot training scheme.	18/May/06

Outlook:
MEA recruits cadet pilots every 10 years or so (if no need arises from vacancies/fleet expansion), but this period is expected to be slightly shorter now that the fleet is expanding and the airline starting a long-run process of privatization.	18/May/06

Recruitment Process	last update
After the review of the academic and professional backgrounds, selected candidates go through a series of Math/Physics/IQ/English academic tests, job suitability tests, interviews, and a full medical examination. Admitted candidates will go to a flight school abroad to receive their ATPL after 14 months, followed by a 6 months type rating course on the companies' fleet and simulators.
