Conditions for British Airways Pilot Jobs
last update
Roster Avarage of 850-900hrs blocktime per year, bunktime included. LHR now has new rostering system as of Jan ‘19. Seniority driven preference based system. Like all seniority driven airlines, seniority is key. Senior pilots can effectively write their own rosters (destinations and days off), junior pilots have less ability but can still achieve some of what they want (it’s a balance, if you’re junior and want to go to LAX on a Monday you might not get it. However, if you don’t mind going on a Saturday you’re more likely to get it) For short haul, some pilots want long tours due to commuting, some want day trips. Junior short haul pilots are more likely to get a better roster using the new system because different pilots want different things and there is a lot of work to go around. LHR 6 Golden days a year (guaranteed days off) First come first served- no seniority factor for golden days).
